The safety of patients and staff is our top priority. In accordance with the safety guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, BG LAB is operating under an updated protocol for responding to air raid alerts.

Below, we explain how patient care is organized at our centers during a threat alert.

Yellow Threat Level

At the yellow threat level, the center continues to operate as usual:

  • Patients, visitors, and staff are given access to shelters or areas with the lowest risk of damage (in accordance with the “two-walls” rule).
  • Visitors may decide at their own discretion whether to take shelter or remain on the premises of the medical facility.

Red Threat Level

The following safety rules apply during a red alert:

  • Patient Safety: All patients and visitors proceed to the nearest shelter on their own or with the assistance of designated facility staff.
  • Elective Medical Care: New elective appointments and procedures will not be scheduled, except in cases where postponing care poses a threat to the patient’s life or health.
  • Areas with the lowest risk: If people remain outside shelters, they are placed in specially equipped areas with the lowest risk of exposure.
  • Emergency Care: Patients requiring emergency and urgent medical care are admitted regardless of the level of threat.
